It's
amazing to find out the backgrounds of some of our students!

KANARI HAYWOOD, whose name means “Bright
Star" has performed in many venues, including Avery Fisher Hall at
Lincoln Center under the late conductor and violinist, Yehudi Menhuin,
and with the Hartford Symphony under Robert Lancaster. She was also the
soloist for the inauguration of Senator Kevin Parker throughout the
ceremonies. Her solo voice has been featured in numerous benefit
concerts, conferences, and ecumenical settings.
Ms. Haywood’s teachers have included David Rae Smith, Elaine Malbin,
Gregory Hopkins, and was privileged to have studied with the late
distinguished Lola Wilson Hayes. She’s coached with Martina Arroyo and
Kelly Wyatt, and currently studies with Maria Fattore.
Kanari holds a Bachelor of Music degree in Voice Performance from the
Hartt School of Music at the University of Hartford, where she was a
member of the Chamber singers and graduated with honors. She also
obtained her Masters of Human Resource Education from Fordham University
and is a member of the honor society Kappa Delta Pi.
In October 2004, Ms. Haywood performed her
critically acclaimed recital debut on the stage of the Weill Recital
Hall, at Carnegie Hall in New York City.
Actor:
Rich is an aspiring actor, originally from California. He has done many
commercials and bit parts in movies. He starred in an independent film
called Columbiano, portraying a drug lord.

Singer:
Elisha has been making the music scene for some time now. She works with
SONY records and has worked with stars such as : P.Diddy and Mariah
Carey. Presently auditioning for American Idol. GOOD LUCK ELISHA!!!!
Pro Trainer:
Tim Reynolds graduated from Hofstra University in 2001 with a Bachelors
degree in education and said farewell to the football team where he
played the position of defensive tackle. Reynolds started as a strength
and conditioning coach intern at the University of Maryland football
team in 2003.
After Maryland, Reynolds went to work at Louisiana State University with
the National Champion LSU TIGERS. He worked at Louisiana State as the
assistant strength and conditioning coach. While at LSU, Reynolds
supervised the development of both the offensive and defensive lines.
Next to his coaching experiences, Reynolds also picked up his Master's
degree in Liberal Arts at LSU. He finally left LSU in January 2007.
Tim Reynolds made his coaching debut in NFL serving as the Head strength
and conditioning coach for the Amsterdam Admirals of the NFL Europa.
